The ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade in Factory New (FN) is a switchblade stiletto for CS2. Its blade shifts from violet at the point, through pink, to golden orange at the base. It is Covert rank, with the ★ mark, and drops from the Horizon Case and the Danger Zone Case. The float scale here breaks off at 0.08, so there are two wears: Factory New (0.00 to 0.07) and Minimal Wear (MW). That 0.00 to 0.07 band is the float given to this wear.
What the ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade looks like in Factory New
The blade is long and narrow, with a mirror shine. Valve writes that translucent paints are airbrushed over a chrome-plated base, so the colors show through the metal rather than sitting on top of it. From the point, violet and blue pass into crimson and pink, and nearer the handle they give way to gold and orange. The handle is dark brown with russet swirls, and the inserts and pins are chrome.
In Factory New the chrome and the paint are whole along the entire length. Wear takes the point first, then the protruding edges of the blade and the handle scales. The degree of wear is set at the drop, and from then on the stiletto stays as it was received.
Where the ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade came from
The Stiletto belongs to the knife set of the Horizon Case. A note dated December 7, 2018 has Valve naming the Danger Zone Case as the place where the Horizon knives lie as rare special items. The finish has had two cases ever since.
What to check before buying
Before buying the ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade, a few points deserve a look:
- float: in this wear the stiletto has a tight band of 0.00 to 0.07, where a difference between listings is hard to catch;
- wear: the finish has only two, and Minimal Wear costs 1.49 times as much as Factory New;
- applied name: a stiletto takes a name tag, and after the purchase it stays on the item.
What the ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade costs in Factory New
The price order of this finish is reversed: Minimal Wear costs 1.49 times as much, even though Factory New is the higher wear.
Of twenty Stiletto finishes in Factory New, six are cheaper than Fade and thirteen are dearer. Its nearest neighbor above is Doppler Phase 3, about a fifth pricier, and Safari Mesh comes next below. The cheapest finishes in the range, Damascus Steel, Forest DDPAT and Tiger Tooth, are a third cheaper than Fade or more. Doppler Ruby and Doppler Black Pearl cost several times as much.
Getting the ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade
A stiletto in this finish drops from the Horizon Case and the Danger Zone Case, and the wear comes out at random. The second route is a contract: five Covert skins from one collection give one special ★ item, but you do not choose the model or the finish. Fade on a stiletto can be had as a ready listing.
Is there a StatTrak version
A StatTrak version of the ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade exists in the game.
Who this wear suits
Buying the ★ Stiletto Knife | Fade in Factory New is reasonable in these cases:
- you want a stiletto with a colored blade where paint and chrome are untouched;
- your CS2 loadout is built on warm and pink tones, and the shift from violet to gold supplies the main spot of color;
- float hardly decides anything here, since a band of 0.00 to 0.07 is too short.
