Doll of the Dead

What a Persona Is in Dota 2

Doll of the Dead is a Legendary Pudge bundle built around The Toy Butcher persona: the butcher becomes a stuffed toy. If you do not already own the persona, it comes included with the rest of the bundle.

What The Toy Butcher Gives You

A persona is an alternative version of an entire hero — a different model, a different voice, different animations.

Unlike a set, which is worn over the standard Pudge, a persona replaces the hero himself and is switched on with its own toggle in the armoury.

Nothing about the gameplay moves. The hook is the hook, Rot is Rot, the numbers are the numbers. What changes is the picture and the sound.

Why the Pieces Only Work With the Persona

Pudge turns into a plaything: soft stuffed texture instead of meat, with sounds and movement to match.

The look deliberately runs as far from the canonical butcher as it can, and that is the point — the hero is instantly recognisable and reads completely differently.

The bundle description states that the persona is included if you do not already own it. Anyone who picked it up earlier simply receives the remaining parts.

Where It Came From

Cosmetics for a persona are modelled separately, because they are built for a different body with different proportions and attachment points.

So parts of a bundle like this one generally will not sit on the standard Pudge — the persona has to be switched on or the items simply do not show.

Worth knowing before you buy. A bundle like this is bought whole, for a complete look, not to be broken up across individual slots.

What It Costs and Who It Suits

The bundle was pulled out of the Dead Reckoning Chest, the treasure that went out around Muerta's arrival.

That explains both the Legendary rarity and why it turns up on its own page less often than the ordinary sets for popular heroes.

These days buying it outright is simpler than trying to pull it from a chest: nobody guarantees the drop, while a finished page is right in front of you.

Where to Buy Doll of the Dead

A single-digit sum, which is modest for a bundle carrying a persona.

The usual buyer is someone who more or less lives on Pudge: a persona remakes the hero outright, and the effect dwarfs any single piece of equipment.

If the hero shows up in your games once a month, look at the standard sets first — they cost less and leave Pudge recognisable.

The current price is in the card above, pulled from the offers on LIS-SKINS at this moment.

The bundle can be bought straight from here: LIS-SKINS takes cards, cryptocurrency and electronic wallets, and you sign in to the platform through Steam.

After payment the set drops into your Steam inventory, and the persona is enabled in the loadout in a couple of clicks.

If the look wears off, the bundle sells back on the same platform with a withdrawal in real money.

Other Pudge gear sits beside it in the catalogue, from standalone hooks to full sets built for the hero's normal model.
