For centuries, attempting to don this helm was a rite of passage to all who became First Spear of the Flood. In most cases, it was a short lesson in humility. In others, however, it meant a trip to the healer or even the grave. For one to wear the helm in battle like legends of old signals to Slithereen everywhere that a new age of strength is now upon them.
