How the Golden Version Differs

Golden Basher of Mage Skulls is the gold version of Anti-Mage's Immortal blade. The shape is the one from the ordinary basher, the metal is not, and there are far fewer copies around — which is the entire reason for the price gap between two items that look almost the same.

What Changes on Anti-Mage

Golden variants are the rare pulls from the same treasures that produced the base items. They dropped at a far lower rate, so you rarely run into one in a game.

Model, animations and behaviour match the ordinary Basher of Mage Skulls exactly. The finish is what changed: gold in place of dark metal.

There is no mechanical difference between the versions. This is pure decoration, as everything in the armoury is.

Valve produced golden pulls like this for many heroes on the same logic: same item, different material, a fraction of the print run. It does not get its own rarity step — the card still reads Immortal.

How Visible It Is in a Game

The item takes the main weapon slot and replaces the blade in the hero's right hand. The rest of the model is left standard.

Magina carries a second blade too, sold as a separate item with Offhand in its name, and that one has a golden version as well.

If you want the hands to match, both halves have to be bought. Otherwise the hero holds two different weapons — not a disaster, but the eye catches it.

What It Costs

Anti-Mage is built on fast attacks and blinks: he materialises next to a target, lands a burst and vanishes. His weapon is in frame constantly.

Gold also catches light, so the blade reads better on the darker parts of the map. That is probably the strongest practical argument for this version.

In the portrait and on the pick screen the difference is obvious immediately, because the camera sits right against the model.

Who Should Buy It

Under $10, which by the standards of this game is still pocket money. The plain basher costs a fraction of that, and the gap between the two versions is plain to see.

That is the normal picture for golden Immortals: how scarce a copy is gets priced separately from how the item looks.

The working figure is pulled into the card above from live offers, and that is the number to go by.

Where to Buy Golden Basher of Mage Skulls

Players who spend a lot of time on Magina and want a detail that informed opponents will recognise. Golden versions turn up far less often in public games.

Anyone kitting out a single hero properly: a golden pair of blades plus a set gives a coherent look for not much money.

If you only want a different blade and would rather not pay the premium, the ordinary version covers nearly the same ground.

Reselling is its own scenario. Golden versions hold value more steadily than mass-market pieces because nothing reprints them, but there are fewer buyers, so quick turnover is not on the table.

The simplest way to decide: if the hero is permanently in your pool, the premium pays for itself in enjoyment. If he is not, it pays for nothing.

The blade is taken from this LIS-SKINS page: authorise through Steam and open an offer, then pay by card, cryptocurrency or e-wallet.

The item moves into your Steam inventory and becomes available in the armoury the next time you launch the game.

Selling it back with a payout in real money works here as well. Before paying, make sure the word Golden is in the name — the ordinary version sits one page away.
