Who Lucentyr Is

Kinetic: Liveliness of Lucentyr is an animation gem for Luna: it reworks how she and her mount Lucentyr move, without touching the model or any colour. It costs under $1, which makes it cheaper than almost anything else in Dota 2 that changes how something looks.

How a Kinetic Gem Differs From the Rest

Lucentyr is Luna's mount from the Blessings of Lucentyr set, and the gem takes its name from the beast.

The heroine is shown mounted nearly all of the time, so the mount's movement is every bit as visible on screen as her own.

The stone works on that pairing as a whole: the seat, the idle behaviour and the way the two carry themselves between actions.

A breakdown of the exact animations is not printed in the item description, and different communities list them differently, so the preview is the thing to go by.

The Blessings of Lucentyr set shipped as a bundle, and the gem was conceived as an extension of it rather than as a standalone item.

Where It Goes

It is the only one of the three types that works on movement instead of imagery.

A Prismatic changes the colour of a glow and an Ethereal supplies the particles — a Kinetic does neither.

What the hero gets instead is a new or rewritten animation, visible every time the character does anything at all.

The numbers are untouched: attack speed, timings and damage stay where they were, and only the look of an action changes.

Why It Costs Less Than a Dollar

You need an item with a Kinetic socket, and a great many items simply do not have one.

Compatibility is decided by the item rather than the character: a gem for Luna will only go into her own equipment, and only where a socket exists.

There is no way to create that socket yourself — it was built in when the item was released, or it was not.

Pull the stone back out and the standard movements return; the model itself is never altered at any stage of this.

Who Will Get Use Out of It

The count runs in cents, and there is nowhere lower to go in the gem catalogue.

The reason is plain: the rarity reads Rare, copies are plentiful, and the audience is limited to people who play one particular heroine.

A narrow attachment almost always pushes a price down harder than rarity pushes it up.

What is being asked today is displayed in the card above the text.

For comparison, Ethereal and Prismatic stones start higher and reach tens of dollars far more quickly.

Where to Buy Kinetic: Liveliness of Lucentyr

Mostly people with serious hours on Luna: an animation shows in every action and wears out more slowly than a colour does.

Anyone who has already assembled a set on the heroine and is missing the last detail that brings a static picture to life.

Anyone who records their games, since changed movement comes across on video far more strongly than a changed shade of an effect.

Without the right equipment, though, buying is premature — the item with the socket comes first and the gem goes into it second.

The stone is taken from this page: you authorise through Steam and pay however suits you, by card, cryptocurrency or e-wallet.

The item is credited to the Steam inventory, from where it can go straight into the equipment you had in mind.

If the gem turns out to be beside the point, LIS-SKINS works for selling too: put it up and withdraw to a card or a wallet.

The other Kinetic gems are gathered in the same catalogue section, so picking one out for a different hero takes no detour.
