What the Olive Glow Looks Like
Prismatic: Unhallowed Ground is a muted olive gem: it drags an item's Ethereal glow towards a yellow-green, swampy tone instead of a clean bright one. The shade is a niche one, and it asks far less than the dark grails from the same line.
What This Tone Asks For
Olive is an unusual entry in the Dota 2 palette — neither bright nor neutral, but deliberately dirty, leaning into green and yellow at the same time.
On a courier the trail stops reading as lighting and starts reading as a coating, which makes the name about unhallowed ground sit on the picture without any stretch.
It lands best on models with a natural or undead theme: insects, plants, anything already pulled towards the colour of soil.
On bright or metallic models it goes the other way and gets lost, which is worth working out before paying.
Why the Gem Does Nothing in Your Backpack
The price holds around the $20 band, which is the middle shelf of the line.
That is appreciably cheaper than the dark and grey colours running towards $50, and dearer than the mass-market brights that trade for a few dollars.
The reason sits exactly in between. The print run was never tiny, but demand for a swamp palette is steady — people come for it with a specific build in mind rather than at random.
The current figure for a copy is in the card above.
Checks Worth Making First
A purchased stone shows nothing in a match on its own. Until it goes into an item there is simply nothing to display.
Its job is to set the colour of the Ethereal effects on the item holding it, while the glow itself is produced by a second stone, the Ethereal gem.
The socket has to be a rare one and cannot be manufactured: an item either has it or it does not. Unusual couriers carry them most often, with the odd item and arcana behind them.
The warning to read before paying: socketing a new gem destroys the one already there, so colours cannot be swapped back and forth.
Who It Suits
The item comes first — does it have a suitable socket, and is that socket holding a tone you would regret losing?
The model comes second. Olive behaves very differently from courier to courier, and that spread is wider than the gap between two neighbouring colours in the catalogue.
Terrain comes third. On swampy and night maps the shade nearly merges with the background, while on pale ones it reads sharply.
Where to Buy Prismatic: Unhallowed Ground
Players building an inventory around a nature or necromancy theme who do not want a courier lighting up like a signal flare.
Players for whom the expensive greys and darks are out of budget, while the default bright effect has worn thin.
If no item with a socket is in hand yet, the purchase can wait. The stone would sit idle, and so would the money inside it.
On LIS-SKINS the gem is taken straight from this page: a Steam login, a chosen offer, and payment by card, cryptocurrency or e-wallet.
The item lands in your Steam inventory, and reselling it with a withdrawal of real money runs from here too.
The rest of the palette sits beside it in the gems and runes section — if olive is not the one, the neighbouring muted tones ask roughly the same.
