AdreN quits Virtus.pro

In early August, Virtus.pro announced that it was ending cooperation with Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubaev. The Kazakh player leaves the team for the second time. He once played for her for eight months in 2012-2013, and then returned in 2019 for about the same amount of time. During this period, he did not perform very well: Virtus.pro finished most of the 2020 championships at the bottom of the standings. She performed best on WePlay! Clutch Island, reaching third place.

Already in March 2020, the team management was considering changing the composition, but in the end the roster was rebuilt in a different way: Timur “buster” left him. Tulepov, who was replaced by the Latvian e-sportsman Marek "YEKINDAR" Galinskic. For now, Tulepov remains inactive, and the prospects for his return remain unclear. The break from participating in buster competitions was explained by fatigue due to high loads.

There is little time left before the start of the new season, but it remains unclear who will become the team's fifth player. In the announcement of AdreN's departure, Virtus.pro representatives did not mention future plans. The team will likely take a break to think about a new strategy. The next major tournament in which Virtus.pro plans to take part – October IEM New York: Online.
