Recently speaking on a podcast about Counter Strike, Liquid coach Jason "moses" O’Tool shared his opinion about the playing style of one of the strongest teams in the CIS, Natus Vincere. In his opinion, the team is strongly influenced by the fact that it actively participates in many European tournaments. As a result, the tactics and style of action become less original than those of other CIS players. Teams that have been playing in local tournaments for a long time often offer something unexpected, while NAVI differs little from European teams.
O’Toole also mentioned that the team management has every reason to think about the reshuffle. Despite the fact that Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev demonstrates consistently high results; the team’s performances at tournaments are not always successful. This gives reason to think about how productively the other players are coping with their tasks.
A similar opinion was expressed by analyst Jacob “Pimp” Vinneche. In his opinion, changes in the composition will help the team become more stable and compete for first places in tournaments. In his opinion, now the success of their performances largely depends on how well s1mple and electronic perform, and much less initiative is expected from the other participants.
The last time changes in NAVI’s composition took place was in January 2020, and they turned out to be successful – then after Ilya “Perfecto” appeared on the roster Zalutsky's team managed to win IEM Katowice 2020, and then BLAST Premier Global Final 2020. Now, after an unsuccessful performance at IEM Katowice 2021, Natus Vincere will participate in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 13, which will begin in mid-March.
