On October 7, Astralis was eliminated from the European RMR tournament after losing to forZe. Thus, the Danish team will miss the major for the first time since 2016. The Russian team defeated it in a bitter fight on two maps, winning first on Mirage and then on Nuke. The success of forZe became possible largely thanks to the efforts of twenty-year-old Alexander “shalfey” Marenova, who showed a rating of 1.37, gaining more than fifty kills.
On the first map, Astralis achieved an overwhelming advantage with a score of 13 – 4, however, was unable to capitalize on this advantage after switching sides. Playing as special forces, the Russian team won 12 of 13 rounds, leaving the map behind with a score of 16 – 14. On Nuke Astralis we managed to achieve an even game again and even gain a slight advantage for some time. However, in the final part of the match, forZe won several rounds in a row, again reaching a score of 16 – 14. It is worth noting that Astralis performed without Christian “k0nfig” Wieneke, who misses the competition due to injury. His place was taken by e-sportsman from Astralis Talent Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen.
Now forZe has 2 losses and 2 wins, which means she continues to fight for a place at the major. Her next test will be a match against the Bad News Eagles.
