Astralis kept their chances of advancing to the next round of the majors alive with a win over GODSENT

Following the results of the second day of PGL Major, the Danish team Astralis managed to avoid elimination from the tournament, having won a convincing victory over GODSENT. Astralis was previously defeated by Entropiq and Copenhagen Flames, so now it will need to win two matches in a row to advance to the Legends stage. The Brazilian GODSENT, meanwhile, became the first team to leave the tournament after three defeats from superior European teams – besides Astralis, these included ENCE and Spirit.

The first map in the confrontation between Astralis and Godsent was Nuke, and the Danes gained an overwhelming advantage on it from the very beginning: largely thanks to the efforts of Lucas “gla1ve” Rossander she won 10 rounds in a row. As a result, the teams approached the change of sides with a score of 13 – 2. In the second part of the map, the balance of power did not change, and Astralis allowed the Brazilians to win only one more round, leaving the map behind with a score of 16 – 3. On Vertigo, the situation at first developed in a similar way, but at the moment when the score reached 10 – 5, the Brazilians managed to tilt the game in their favor for a while. Nevertheless, Astralis still won, although not with such a devastating score as on the first map (16 – 11).
