Danish Astralis advanced to the grand finals of the European stage of the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, defeating NIP on two maps. Now she will have to meet with ENCE on Sunday in the fight for a place in the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final tournament.
The first map was Nuke, chosen by Astralis. At first, the two teams were almost level, and by the time the sides changed sides the score was 7 – 8 in favor of the Danes. In the second half of the map, the initiative passed to Astralis, which won one round after another, increasing the gap. When the count reached 15 – 8, the Swedes were able to take a few points, but they failed to win back the deficit: the map remained with Astralis with a score of 15 – 8.
On the second map (Mirage), Astralis' advantage turned out to be even more overwhelming. Already at the beginning of the round, the Danes achieved an advantage of 5 – 0, successfully blocking any opponent's actions. After this, NIP managed to play one round, but this did not fundamentally change anything. The performances of Astralis players remained just as technically flawless. By the time the sides changed, the score reached 14 – 1. After the break, the Danish team completed the map, winning two more rounds without any problems and thus securing a place in the grand final.
