The German esports organization BIG announced at the end of the week the creation of a youth roster that will include promising players. Its lineup was announced on Thursday. It included five players aged 18 – 19 years old who showed the best results in the selection, which took place in mid-January.
The roster initially consisted of 120 players who competed in the German FACEIT hub called GoBIG League. Their progress was monitored by several experienced eSports players, including coach Tugay “TuGuX” Keskin and the famous BIG player Fatih "gob b" Dayika. They took into account several criteria, including game performance, ability to think tactically, ability to communicate with other players and plan joint actions.
The previous project for young players was launched by BIG back in 2018, and it has become a stable source of talented eSports players for the German scene. In the previous roster of BIG Academy, Karim “Krimbo” started their journey. Moussa and Max "PANIX" Hangebruch, who were in the top 100 of the world rankings.
BIG Head Daniel Finkler noted that he is looking forward to seeing how the team will develop in the coming months under the leadership of the coach. The main goal of the project – develop players' skills, preparing them for professional performances.
