Tournament organizing company BLAST has published a schedule for qualifying tournaments for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown. Teams from eight regions will have a chance to qualify for the competition, which will be held in October. The winner of each of the regional qualifying tournaments will be able to count on a payment of $25,000. BLAST explains that this amount should not be called a prize, but a kind of financial support for players – teams selected to participate in the final stage will be able to invest this amount in those aspects of their activities that, in their opinion, are important for their development and will help them achieve high results.
The qualifying tournaments will include events such as Nordic Masters, Latin Power and Fantasyexpo Cup. Among the new events – separate qualifying competitions for Eastern Europe and a Chinese tournament, organized by the streaming service Douyu. All regional competitions will take place from July to September. Each of them will be a three-day tournament in which eight teams will take part.
Only one best team from each region will advance to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, which will take place from October 12 to 17. In this tournament, the eight teams that win the regional qualifiers will meet eight teams invited by BLAST and compete for two spots at the Fall Finals.
