The organizers of BLAST Premier Fall confirmed that the tournament will be held online, but without division into regional divisions. At the same time, the composition of the participants has changed. Instead of 100 Thieves and Liquid, who were supposed to take part in one of the stages of the tournament, BIG and FURIA will perform there.
Previously, the esports organization 100 Thieves, which is based in the USA and is one of twelve long-term partners of BLAST, announced that it was disbanding its CS:GO roster. The last match for the team will be the IEM New York tournament, which ends this week. Liquid, meanwhile, will take part in another part of the tournament. She will miss its first stage and will begin performing only from the Showdown stage, which will take place at the end of November.
Thanks to the decision to hold a tournament without division into regions, the BLAST Premier Fall Series will be the first major event since the beginning of the pandemic in which the strongest American teams will meet with European ones. Ten teams will take part in them, currently in the top 15 of the HLTV rating, as well as NiP (16th place) and MIBR (currently does not have an official rating, since its roster is incomplete).
