BLAST Premier World Final will be held without spectators

Tournament organizer BLAST announced that the final event of 2021, BLAST Premier World Final, will be held behind closed doors. The tournament with a prize fund of $1,000,000 is scheduled to take place in mid-December. Due to the new deterioration of the epidemic situation, it was decided to hold it in a studio located in Copenhagen. Previous BLAST event – The recently completed BLAST Premier Fall Final was held at the Royal Arena stadium.

So, while the professional eSports scene has begun to return to normal in recent months, there are no major events available to spectators until at least early 2022. How the conditions for organizing tournaments will change in the near future. It is possible that in the near future the PGL Major in Stockholm and the BLAST Premier Fall Final in Copenhagen will remain the only major events that eSports fans were able to attend. Another significant competition, IEM Winter, will also be held in Stockholm without spectators.

BLAST Premier World Final, the final event of the year, should bring together the best participants from different countries. Among its participants – seven teams from the top 10, and the winner of the grand final will receive a prize of $500,000.
