The organizers of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 tournament have confirmed that the version of Counter Strike: Global Offensive with the latest update will be used at the event. It was released last week, and its main innovations were the replacement of Dust2 with Anubis in the competitive map pool, as well as a reduction in the magazine capacity of the AWP and the long-range damage of the M4A1-S. There are about three weeks left before the tournament, which has a prize fund of $1 million: it is scheduled to start on December 14 in Abu Dhabi.
It became known earlier that the BLAST Premier Fall Final, which will begin on December 23, will be held on the previous version, without the changes listed above. Thus, the World Final will be the first major event where viewers will have the chance to see top teams play on Anubis.
To date, FaZe, Natus Vincere, Vitality and Virtus.pro have already qualified for the World Final. They will be joined by the Fall Final winner, as well as three who will be leaders in the BLAST ranking. If the autumn tournament is won by someone who is already on the list of participants, for example, FaZe or Natus Vincere, another team from the BLAST rating will be selected for the World Finals.
