Latin American esports organization FiReSPORTS announced a partnership agreement with BLAST to create a new league, which will start in early autumn. The league for teams from Latin America will be called FiRe League, and its prize fund will be $141,000. In addition to this reward, participants will compete for a place in the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 tournament, which is scheduled to take place in November.
FiRe League starts in mid-September. It is planned that at least 24 teams will take part in it, divided into three regions. In the middle of the season, the teams that took leading positions in their regions and another team that received the most votes from fans will compete for the right to participate in the BLAST Premier Showdown.
BLAST Director Robbie Douek said: “There is a large and active CS:GO community in Latin America, and we are truly excited to team up with FiReSPORTS to offer the best team the chance to compete in this year's BLAST Premier fall tournament. We look forward to seeing the best teams in the region compete and welcome the winner to test their mettle on the world stage."
