Helwijs «broky» FaZe's Saukants was named MVP at IEM Katowice after his team won the grand final. It was largely thanks to his efforts that FaZe managed to win Inferno after losing by 7 – 15. After the award, the Latvian esportsman gave an interview to the HLTV portal, in which he spoke about his preparation for the tournament. He noted that the aforementioned Inferno rally had great psychological significance for the team: having won a series of rounds in a row, the players felt that they could win the entire match.
This is broky's first MVP title and the best performance of his career. Talking about his preparation, the eSports player mentioned that he changed a lot in his preparation before this tournament, but does not know what exactly had the greatest impact: “I think I was as confident as usual, I didn’t experience any surge of confidence. We just played like we always do and we managed to win the tournament."
Replacing one of the players also did not become a big problem for the team: this is not the first time in its history. With the new lineup, the participants practiced a lot of typical situations, thanks to which Justin “jks” Savage handled both roles he was required to fill on the team.
