The former NIP in-game leader has announced the end of his career

Swedish eSports player Richard "Xizt" Landström announced his retirement from his professional career. Over the past twelve years, he has achieved a lot in two versions of the game, won many major tournaments and represented famous e-sports organizations.

Xizt loudly announced itself in recent years with CS 1.6. In 2010 and 2011 he was among the top twenty players. Then, moving to CS: GO, he began playing for NIP and contributed to one of the unique achievements of the then roster: a winning streak of 87 maps in a row. As a member of NIP, he won more than 20 LAN tournaments between 2012 and 2018.

After leaving NIP, Landström collaborated with fnatic and Dignitas, but this period was not as fruitful as he had hoped. In September 2020, he left Dignitas and remained inactive, considering his future actions. In his interview with HLTV, the player said that as a result he decided to end his career:

«The last few years haven't really gone my way and I haven't been able to play as effectively. As I wanted. The failures we suffered at fnatic and at Dignitas, especially compared to the last years of my career, affected me and shook my confidence."

At the same time, Xizt is not going to completely part with CS:GO. He expects to remain in the esports industry, doing analytical work or team management.
