Turkish cybersportsman Bugra "Calyx" Arkin decided to leave the European team Gorillaz after a short trial period. The twenty-two-year-old player, who previously played for Envy, participated in the new project for two weeks, but in the end the parties were unable to agree on further prospects for cooperation. He played several official matches for Gorillaz, including an appearance in the open qualifiers preceding Flashpoint 3. In it, the team managed to reach the quarterfinals, but were then knocked out of the competition by the Copenhagen Flames.
So, Calyx remains a free agent for now after the North American esports organization Envy, for which he played during 2020, decided to temporarily stop participating in CS: GO competitions in early 2021.
Gorillaz – this is a new project that was recently assembled from European players under the leadership of Robin “flusha” Rönnkista and Mikki "sunNy" Kemppi. Now there are only four players left in it again – in addition to the two e-sportsmen already mentioned, this is Yere “sergei” Salo and Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas. So far they have not commented on Calyx’s decision, and it remains unknown what other candidates for the role of the fifth member will be considered.
