In the final, which was played in the best-of-5 format, Vladislav’s team “nafany” Gorshkova left no chance for her opponents. If on the first two maps (Mirage and Overpass) ENCE still managed to resist, and the map ended in favor of Cloud9 with a slight advantage, then on Ancient the advantage of the latter became overwhelming (16 – 3).
Commenting on this victory in an interview after the match, Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov from Cloud9 noted that he was glad to contribute to the overall success, especially in matches against strong teams. He also expressed gratitude to the fans for their support. Abay "HObbit" Khasenov expressed confidence that Cloud9 will have many more victories in the near future.
For the current roster, the main prize at IEM Dallas was a particularly important event, since for the roster, consisting of four Russian and one Kazakh players, this is the first such major achievement since they moved to the North American esports organization in May of this year.
