The Danish Copenhagen Flames announced the signing of a new roster, the leader of which will be Thomas “birdfromsky” Due-Frederiksen. The organization announced plans to form a new line-up back in early June after Niko «nicoodoz» Tamjidi and Fredrik "roeJ" Jorgensen moved to fnatic.
The roster, unofficially dubbed “Flames 3.0,” represents another attempt by the Danish organization to form a successful roster. Over the past two years, she has sold more than fifteen players in search of the right combination that will allow the team to compete at a high level.
The most experienced members of the new line-up – the already mentioned birdfromsky and Rasmus "raalz" Steensborg – previously held the position of in-game leader at ECSTATIC and Sprout, respectively. They will be joined by Thomas "TMB" Bandsbäck and Johannes "b0rup" Borap from MAD Lions and Yulian "regali" Harjau, who previously played for fnatic Rising. The head coach of the team will be Benjamin “cube” Stabell.
«Our task – “We will maintain this roster for a longer period of time to take full advantage of our new resources and capabilities, strengthen our status as one of the best CS:GO clubs and achieve more,” explains Steffen Thomsen, head of Copenhagen Flames. – We will further develop our CS:GO division by adding personnel in various areas, including productivity, data analytics, health, science and technology." According to Philip "tekziNz" Karsböl, one of the leaders of the organization, the team hopes to get into the top 30 of the HLTV rating as quickly as possible.
