Copenhagen Flames won the Malta Vibes tournament without losing a single map throughout the entire competition. The Danish team, which was considered the favorite even before the start of the tournament, fully met expectations, reaching the grand final without any problems and winning it against ECSTATIC with a score of 2 – 0.
On the first map (it was Nuke, which was chosen by Copenhagen Flames), ECSTATIC managed to seize the advantage for some time, and its play ended in favor of their opponents with only a minimal advantage (19 - 17). On the second map (Inferno) Copenhagen Flames, the difference in class between the teams was fully demonstrated, and the winners were able to retain it with a double advantage (16 - 8).
To reach the finals, Copenhagen Flames needed to defeat strong competitors such as AVE and Dignitas, as well as defeat MAD Lions in the quarterfinals. The success came at a good time for Copenhagen Flames, which experienced some decline after the Major, losing, in particular, to such rivals as 1WIN and Savage. A successful performance at Malta Vibes can be considered evidence that the team is returning to its previous level. As for ECSTATIC, for her second place in the tournament can also be called a success – She has now risen to 20th place in the world rankings, which is her highest achievement ever.
