The CS:GO Professional Players' Organization (CSPPA), which protects the interests of e-sports players and monitors compliance with the rules of this game, announced on Tuesday a new composition of the players' council. Its five members were selected during the organization's general meeting held this week. In addition, two of the e-sportsmen who have been part of it since its creation remain in it – this is Chris "chrisJ" de Jong and Nathan "NBK" Schmitt.
Since January 2020, the chairman and vice-chairman of the board have been Andreas "Xyp9x" Hoyslet and Jonathan "EliGe" Jablonowski, respectively, but they decided to give up their place to new members. According to the organization's rules, the council must include current esports players, which places additional demands on their already busy schedule. Now the council includes representatives of such teams as Vitality, Extra Salt, OG, FunPlus Phoenix and fnatic.
The current CSPPA convention – the first major event of its kind in the history of the association. It started on Monday and will continue until Thursday so that, as the organizers explain, as many players as possible can take part. All CS:GO players who have a contract with one of the professional e-sports organizations can vote for the decisions made.
