Danish project South announced disbandment after defeat by Spirit Academy and the departure of Fessor

The players of the Danish team South, created less than a month ago, decided to stop the project. The first to announce his retirement was the young eSports player Frederic “Fessor” Sørensen. He explained this by saying that he did not consider further participation in the project suitable for himself. At the same time, he plans to continue performing on the professional stage and is open to offers from other esports organizations. Sørensen made this decision less than a month after the team was announced in August. During this time, South managed to participate in four events, playing a small number of matches – in the last of them she lost to Spirit Academy.

After Fessor decided to leave the project, team leader Matthias "MSL" Lordisen announced the dissolution of South. He noted that the team failed to show its potential in the first few weeks of its existence: it failed to qualify for the V4 Sports Festival International, and also ended up in 5th-8th place in the qualifying stages of the Funspark ULTI 2021 Europe Regional Series and IEM Fall 2021 Europe. The latest defeat was especially demoralizing for the team, as after the match with Spirit Academy at Malta Vibes Knockout Series 2 they found themselves in 25th - 40th place.

Now the former members of South have acquired the status of free agents, but in the near future, on the eve of major tournaments, it will be difficult for them to find a place in any team.
