DreamHack will reschedule events scheduled for late 2020

DreamHack has announced that it will postpone events planned for the rest of 2020. This is due to the fact that the situation with coronavirus remains tense. Earlier this year, the tournament organizer had to move its main event DreamHack Summer online. Soon after, events in Valencia and Montreal were cancelled. It has now been decided to hold all competitions online until the end of the year, including DreamHack Stops in Rotterdam, Hyderabad, Atlanta, Jonkoping and Madrid.

One of the co-directors of DreamHack, Marcus Lindmark, commented on what was happening as follows: “This year has been very difficult for everyone, but we will make every effort to return to the usual format of our festivals in 2021.” He said that the decision to return to offline tournaments will be made based on the current recommendations of the World Health Organization and other regulatory authorities at the international and national level. For now, DreamHack will continue to explore and implement innovative ways to connect with eSports fans.

DreamHack is currently holding its Open Summer championship online, dividing it into four regional divisions.
