
Representatives of tournament organizer DreamHack spoke about how the Masters Winter competition will be held, and also announced which teams will be invited. The tournament will take place from November 30 to December 6 in an online format, which has already become familiar over the past year. The teams will be divided into four regions based on geography, and the total prize fund will be $250,000.
The European part of the tournament will be the largest, in which 16 teams will take part, 12 of them will receive direct invitations, and 4 will be determined based on the results of qualifying matches. It has already been confirmed that teams that are partners of DreamHack – will take part in the competition. these are Astralis, G2, Complexity and Natus Vincere.
In North America, Evil Geniuses and Liquid will be joined by four more invited teams and two winners of the qualifying tournaments. Asia and Oceania will be represented by four teams in each division. It is known that in each region three teams will receive direct invitations, and one will be determined as a result of the selection, but specific names have not yet been announced.
DreamHack Masters Winter will be the last Masters tournament on the ESL Pro Tour where you can earn ranking points before IEM Katowice.
