ESIC will make its work more transparent

ESIC, which oversees fair play in eSports, has announced a new initiative to improve transparency. It will create an information hub where information about completed and ongoing investigations will be published.

It is planned that the initiative will unfold in several stages. The first of them – creation of a register for the publication of current information about investigations, information about which is no longer classified. At the time this project was announced, there were three open investigations on the registry. One of them is related to accusations of betting fraud against the head of Project X, Alexander Shishko, the second – with an investigation into match-fixing in the North American and Australian divisions of ESEA MDL, which has been dragging on for almost a year, and the third – using the “trainer bug”. In addition, a little later an investigation into Nikolai “HUNDEN” was added to the register. Petersen. ESIC promises to publish new data on the latter next week.

In addition, for each investigation, the register indicates its status: cases involving the use of a coaching bug and accusations against Alexander Shishko are marked as being at the final stage, and the remaining two – as active.

In the future, ESIC plans to create another public register in which all sanctions imposed on players will be published. Finally, by November 2021, the organization will begin to publish information about incoming appeals and their discussions.
