Representatives of the ex-Winstrike team spoke about the failure to sign a contact with one of the major e-sports organizations in the CIS. Without naming its name, the coach of the squad Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov said that an agreement between the players and the organization had already been reached. However, after the players signed their contracts, they were informed that the deal was cancelled.
This was a big disappointment for the players. According to hooch, they were already looking forward to the moment when the contract could be officially announced, but cooperation turned out to be impossible due to the fact that the esports organization could not find enough funds. Dmitry Bogdanov considers this behavior of the other side to be unprofessional: a situation where a budget shortage was announced after the signing of the composition indicates insufficient quality management and planning.
Ex-Winstrike will continue to look for possible partners. Hooch noted that they would now have to start all over again as they had turned down several other offers in hopes of securing the contract mentioned above. He hopes to find an organization that treats players more respectfully.
