On Sunday, EXTREMUM announced the dissolution of its current roster, which included players from Australia, New Zealand, Norway and Indonesia. The main factor in making this decision was the fact that she was unable to get to the PGL Major, losing to Evil Geniuses. EXTREMUM released a statement noting that the last week has been particularly difficult for the team. Since qualifying for the Major was her main goal this year, the loss in the match against Evil Geniuses was the most unfortunate development of events, and the future of the team remains uncertain.
EXTREMUM's latest lineup was assembled in January 2021 and brought together five former members of 100 Thieves. Considering that the team included the successful Asian eSports player Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand, the team looked promising in theory, but was never able to truly prove itself. One of her most notable achievements was third place at the American RMR tournament – cs_summit 8. Thanks to this, the team had a chance to qualify for the major, but then at IEM Fall they were unable to score a single point. At the time when the decision was made to disband the roster, EXTREMUM was ranked 46th in the world rankings.
