f0rest and friberg have extended their contracts with Dignitas for 2022

Late last week, the Swedish Dignitas announced that Patrick "f0rest" Freiberg extended his contract with the team until 2022. The Swedish esports player, now 33 years old, moved to Dignitas in January 2020 after eight years with NIP. Together with him, several other Swedish players who had previously proven themselves successful in NIP began playing for Dignitas.

In 2020-2021, the team failed to achieve great success on the international stage: its achievements mainly included victories in several regional tournaments, such as Nordic Masters Spring 2021. Despite this, f0rest managed to maintain a rating of 1.09 during his tenure with the team – This is the highest figure among the members of the active Dignitas roster. Patrick is only slightly ahead of the sniper Hakon "hallzerk" Fjaerli with a rating of 1.07.

Dignitas' current lineup has remained unchanged since March 2021, after Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson replaced Haris "H4RR3" Hajika. However, a little later the team management changed the head coach, and since November this position has been occupied by Faruk “pita” Pete. Earlier this week, another player confirmed his contract extension with the team – Adam “friberg” Freiberg. Dignitas played its debut match this year at the Elisa Invitational Winter main qualifier on January 17.
