On Saturday, FaZe advanced to the grand finals of PGL Major Antwerp, defeating Spirit with a score of 2 – 0. Despite the fact that Spirit left the major, its performance in the semi-finals was a significant achievement: the youngest team of the tournament, led by Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov has proven that she can play on equal terms with more experienced teams from the top 10 of the world rankings.
The first map of the match was Mirage, and on it FaZe quickly took the lead, achieving a score of 10 by the time the sides changed – 5 in your favor. Havard "rain" was especially successful. Nygaard and Robin "ropz" Cool. In the second half of the draw, Spirit took the initiative for a while after an impressive multikill performed by Robert “Patsi” Isyanova. The further fight looked almost equal, but the map ultimately remained with FaZe with a score of 16 – 13.
The fight between Spirit and FaZe continued on Dust2. As on the previous map, FaZe took the lead early on, but Spirit managed to take the lead, winning six points in a row. By the thirtieth round, the winner had not yet been determined, and only in the third overtime did FaZe manage to convert the match point and win the map with a score of 25 – 24, thus securing a place in the grand final. Her opponent will be determined as a result of the NAVI match – ENCE, which will take place on Saturday evening.
