Tournament organizer BLAST has published information about where the final stage of 2022 will take place. Thus, BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will take place in Abu Dhabi in mid-December. The prize fund for which the teams will compete will reach $1 million. The matches will take place at the Etihad Arena, which seats more than 15 thousand people.
In addition, BLAST announced a three-year partnership with local company AD Gaming, which means it will host even more events in the country in the future. Thus, BLAST returns to the Middle East more than two years after the BLAST Pro Series Global Final, held in 2019 in Bahrain.
The tournament, which will last five days, will feature eight teams from the top of the world rankings. Two winners of regular BLAST tournaments, EPL tournaments and majors in 2022 receive invitations. In addition, some slots are distributed in accordance with the BLAST rating.
It is already known that NAVI, who won the BLAST Premier Spring Final, and FaZe, who took first places at the PGL Major and EPL Season 15, will appear at the BLAST Premier World Final 2022. Due to the fact that FaZe won two tournaments at once, based on the results of which the selection is made, three slots will be distributed according to the team’s position in the BLAST rating, and not two, as usual.
