Russian forZe won the CCT Central Europe Series 2 tournament, defeating OG in the grand final. Thus, the team will receive $22,000 in prize money, as well as 150 points in the regional ranking.
Many considered OG to be the favorite of the competition, since the team had the highest place in the world rankings of all participants (it is now in 13th position). Advancement through the playoffs did not cause her any particular difficulties, but OG failed to maintain the same level in the grand finals.
The Russian team began its journey in the tournament immediately with the playoffs, since it received a direct invitation to it. As she progressed to the finals, she scored victories over teams such as los kogutos, Finest and Into the Breach. The victory over OG required a lot of effort from forZe: it took three rounds to determine the leader, in which she lost on Dust, but won on Inferno and Overpass with a small difference in the score.
Thus, now forZe has 185 points in the regional CCT ranking. The three teams that will be in leading positions by the end of the fourth tournament of the series will have the opportunity to play in the final stage. The two remaining online tournaments of the CCT Central Europe Series will start on October 9 and November 26, respectively.
In addition, on October 4, forZe will have to begin the fight for getting into the major at IEM Road to Rio. She will play her first match against Sprout.
