Insider Guillaume “neL” Canelo reported that negotiations between G2 and NAVI on the transfer of Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, who was part of NAVI Junior, were crowned with success. According to a publication on the information portal 1pv.cs, the transaction amount could reach $600,000. Rumors about the possibility of this transfer already arose after the end of the PGL Major, especially since NAVI recently announced that m0NESY was put up for transfer.
As part of G2, m0NESY should take the role of a sniper. After Kenny "kennyS" Shrub was inactive in March, a position held by Francois "AmaNEk" Delauney. However, for him it is not his main specialty, and therefore the team has been looking for a promising player who could take on this role for some time.
The question of whether m0NESY can cope with performances at the highest level remains open. He himself recently noted in an interview that he considers himself ready for such challenges. In all three WePlay Academy series in which he participated, Ilya was in the top 3 best players, and in the first of them he showed an impressive rating of 1.64 despite the fact that his team did not make it to the finals.
Russian insider Alexey “OverDrive” Biryukov, in his post regarding the transfer of m0NESY, mentioned that under the terms of the deal, NAVI will retain the right to repurchase. This means that the club will have priority right to purchase the player if he leaves the G2 roster. Representatives of the latter have not yet published official comments regarding the transfer.
