On the evening of September 4, Gambit guaranteed itself access to the ESL Pro League playoffs by defeating Entropiq on the Dust2 and Vertigo maps. Thus, the team took the leading place in Group D, without suffering a single defeat in the group stage. Gambit and Entropiq matches have gone in favor of the first team before: out of the seven maps they played in the past, Entropiq was only able to win one.
This time Dust2 was chosen as the first map of the match. Although Entropiq was able to gain some economic advantage early on, pressure from Gambit allowed the situation to level out. At some point, the teams' chances were almost equal, and the score was 13 – 13, but Gambit still tilted the game in its favor (16 – 13). The second map was Vertigp – a good choice for Gambit, since the team consistently shows good results on it. This time she was able to defeat Entropiq with a score of 16 – 10.
As a result, Entropiq's chances of making the playoffs have become very slim as a result. To date, she has only been able to win one of her four group matches. Therefore, in order to advance further, she must not only defeat TeamOne in the last game of the group tournament, but also hope that the results of other teams will turn out in her favor.
