Swedish player Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund announced his retirement from his professional career. He is now thirty years old, and in recent years he has achieved considerable success, becoming one of the most recognizable figures in European eSports. He is one of the leaders in the number of awards won during his career and received the title of the most successful player in various tournaments ten times.
Christopher noted that in any case he does not want to talk about his final retirement from the game: “You never know how things will turn out. Perhaps one day I will feel the need to compete again. But now I’ve decided to take a break, and it could turn into a final departure from the stage – or maybe it won’t turn.”
Now the player plans to start streaming and creating content. He said that he first thought about changing his field of activity back in 2016. Now moving to a new role in the Dignitas team, for which he previously played, seems completely logical to him. Christopher explained that over time his interests became broader and went beyond the professional game of CS: GO. Now he expects to put more effort into developing his personal brand, creating content related not only to CS: GO, but also to other games.
