Lucas «gla1ve» Rossander, who plays for Astralis, announced that he will not take part in ESL One Cologne, contrary to the expectations of fans, many of whom were counting on his return. The player has been inactive since May. He is still part of Astralis, but is temporarily out of games for medical reasons. He recently said that he is looking forward to returning to professional performances, but by the second half of August, when ESL One Cologne takes place, he will not yet be able to get into proper shape.
gla1ve's statement was published after one of the Danish themed publications mentioned that the player was registered as a reserve at ESL One Cologne along with Andreas "xyp9x" Hoyslet. It was suggested that these two players, who have not appeared in matches since the spring, will occupy the two reserve slots available according to the tournament rules for each team.
Although the hopes of the team's fans were not justified, they still hope that Astralis will be able to show a good result at the tournament. The line-up announced for ESL One Cologne will include Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, who joined the team as a free agent after his contract with Heroic ended, and former Mad Lions player Lukas "Bubzkij" Andersen, an agreement with whom was reached a week ago.
