Henry “HenryG” Greer has announced that he is leaving esports organization Cloud9 after serving as the general manager of its CS:GO roster for eight months. He began collaborating with her in September 2020, and it was under his leadership that a successful roster of European players was created, which, in particular, included Alex “ALEX” McMeekin, Ozgur "woxic" Ecker and William "mezii" Merriman. However, the team soon ran into problems. The lineup had to be changed after woxic decided to leave, and the players were having trouble finding the optimal distribution of roles. As a result, Cloud9 was unable to reach a stable level of results.
In addition, the team was unable to gather in North America due to coronavirus restrictions. In the absence of joint training, it was difficult for players to establish interaction, and as a result, the esports organization decided to disband the CS: GO roster after the team was eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 13 at the group stage. Henry Greer noted that he plans to take a break for a while, but will return to esports in the future when the right opportunity presents itself.
