The Danish team Heroic defeated ENCE and thus secured the leading position in Group A of the ESL Pro League, winning four group stage matches in a row. Although she still has to play against Astralis on Friday, she will qualify for the playoffs regardless of the outcome. However, its results are still important for the team: if Heroic wins it, then it will begin participating in the playoffs immediately from the quarterfinals.
After the match with ENCE Kasper "cadiaN" Heroic's Möller was very optimistic about the mood in the team and its future prospects: “We feel great in this atmosphere now and we have managed to cope with several tense situations. It would be amazing to win the Pro League prize again – Another one would definitely not hurt us.”
ENCE, meanwhile, also retains its chances of reaching the next stage of the tournament. She will fight for the top positions in the group first of all, with Vitality and Astralis. But the chances of another participant in Group A, the Russian Team Spirit, of being in the playoffs were reduced to a minimum: by this time, it had only been able to win one victory in the tournament – over the American Bad News Bears, which ended up in last place.
