The grand final of the Pinnacle Winter Series 3 tournament ended on March 16. In it, the Danish team Heroic defeated Copenhagen Flames on two maps. Thus, she earned $40,000 in prize money and secured a place in the quarterfinals of the LAN Sweet LAN event, which will soon be held in Belgrade (Serbia).
Performing at Pinnacle Winter Series 3, Heroic convincingly demonstrated that it is not for nothing that they occupy fifth place in the world rankings. On the way to the final, she beat Apeks and ECSTATIC with a score of 2 – 0, and three out of four maps were won with significant odds.
This victory – not the team’s only achievement over the past six months. She finished in 3-4 place in such major competitions as PGL Major Stockholm and BLAST Premier Fall Final. Although the team's performance declined slightly at the end of last year, they managed to return to excellent form and finish in the top 4 at the recently concluded IEM Katowice.
Thus, nine teams have already been determined that will take part in the LAN Sweet LAN in April 2022. These include Virtus.pro, Heroic, Entropiq, forZe and others. It remains unclear who will get the slot originally occupied by FunPlus Phoenix after it was disbanded.
