Heroic will join the ranks of BLAST partners instead of MIBR

Tournament organizer BLAST has announced that Norway's Heroic has become a partner in BLAST Premier tournaments, taking over the slot that previously belonged to MIBR. Thus, the team for which the Danish roster now plays, led by Kasper “cadiaN” Möller, will receive a guaranteed place at each event of the series along with other partners, including Natus Vincere, FaZe and G2.

According to the organizers, the company Immortals Gaming Club, which owns MIBR, has decided to sell its place. The result was an auction that attracted the attention of several unnamed leading esports organizations. Managing Director of BLAST Premier Charlotte Kenny noted that Heroic have convincingly proven that they belong to the Counter Strike elite: “Their impressive performances last year at the tournament in Copenhagen – a shining example of how they can express themselves at our events. And the level of interest, competition and involvement associated with the purchase of this slot also testifies to how much the BLAST Premier tournament has grown over the past year."

This is the second change in BLAST's partners since the twelve organizations that were included were announced at the end of 2019. Previously, BIG replaced 100Thieves after the latter decided to leave CS: GO.
