Gambit management has announced that it will not prevent its players from competing under a neutral name after the organizers of the ESL Pro League banned the organization from participating in the tournament due to ties to Russia. ESL previously banned teams “with connections to the Russian government” from participating in the current season. This affected Virtus.pro and Gambit. Virtus.pro management criticized this decision, but did not prevent its players from participating in the ESL Pro League under a different name. As a result, Marek's team "YEKINDAR" Galinskis will perform as Outsiders. Now Gambit has followed suit, but it is not yet known what name the players will choose. In addition, both teams had to remove any mention of sponsors, brands and the name of their organization from their social media accounts.
