A few days ago Chet “ImAPet” Singh, coach of the Evil Geniuses team, confirmed that he is leaving this position. Most likely, the reason was a conflict between the coach and two other players – Tarik "tarik" Entirely and game leader Peter «Stanislaw» Yarguz. In a post about his departure, Chet Singh mentioned that he had been depressed lately due to losing several close friends. In addition, he was unable to find a common language with the players mentioned above, which had a bad effect on team interaction. The coach also noted that there are other reasons for his departure from Evil Geniuses, which he would prefer to “keep behind closed doors” for now.
During the previous year, Evil Geniuses performed quite successfully under the leadership of ImAPet. In particular, they defeated the Fnatic team at the StarSeries i-League CS:GO Season 8 Finals, and then successfully showed themselves at ESL One New York 2019. Thanks to these and several more victories, Evil Geniuses occupied the top rating of HLTV for some time.
Currently, Chet Singh has not yet decided which team he will work with in the future. He plans to stay in esports and is currently, in his own words, open to offers from any region.
