Recently, the Indian CS:GO community showed an example of how people who are usually competitive with each other can come together in the face of a tragic event. On May 27, it became known that Sahil "EcheloN" Dultani, a top eSports player, has passed away after a long battle with chronic illness. The news of this quickly spread across social networks, and almost immediately on his Steam page, not only his friends and acquaintances, but also users who did not know him personally began leaving messages of condolences. One of his friends said that, despite the successes achieved, EcheloN always remained a humble person who treated others with respect.
Soon one of the members of the “CS:GO India Community” decided to organize a tournament dedicated to his memory. There will be no participation fee or cash prizes as the event is primarily symbolic – bring together players who want to pay respect to their comrade. Here's how Archit Singh, the competition organizer, put it: “I told his family that they were not alone in their sadness, and that the entire community of players mourned with them. I want us to have a friendly tournament and give him a final goodbye, doing what he loved most, what he did best.” The tournament will take place on June 6 and will be broadcast on Discord.
