Danish eSports player Christian "k0nfig" Wieneke, who left Astralis a month ago, published a post in which he talked about his plans to return to performing on the professional stage. He also gave an interview to the Dexerto portal, in which he spoke in more detail about what was happening in his life over the past month.
Astralis parted ways with k0nfig shortly after the team failed to qualify for the IEM Rio Major. At the same time, the player did not participate in the team’s matches at the European RMR, as he missed the event due to a leg injury. Somewhat later, k0nfig confirmed that he received this injury as a result of a conflict with a bar employee in Malta that ended in assault.
Commenting on this situation in his new post, the esports athlete writes: “Everything I worked hard for disappeared in one day, but I’m ready to return everything. I'm ready to compete. I'm here to work as a team. I'm here for the beauty of the game that we all love and live for... I am confident that I will win new trophies."
In an interview with Dexerto, the player mentioned that Astralis’ decision to terminate the contract with him was a surprise to him. He hoped to return to the team after recovery, but he accepts the decision made by its management because he let the others down on the eve of the major. K0nfig said that he has already contacted several organizations, but has not yet made a final decision on where he will play now.
