K1to perform for BIG at IEM Cologne

The German esports organization BIG announced that the same roster with which it recently won the Roobet Cup will perform at IEM Cologne. Thus, youth player Nils “k1to” Grüne will continue to replace Josef "faveN" Baumann, who does not have time to recover from illness by the beginning of the event in Cologne.

Earlier, in the first half of 2022, Nils “k1to” Grüne was promoted to the youth team. However, he appeared in the main lineup at the Pinnacle Cup Championship, replacing Karim "Krimbo" Moussa, who fell ill with coronavirus infection. Then, at the BLAST tournament in Lisbon, he competed instead of Fatih "gob b" Dayika. Finally, at the Roobet Cup, as well as at the upcoming IEM Cologne, the twenty-three-year-old eSports player replaces Joseph “faveN” Baumann. The latter commented on the situation on his Twitter a few days ago. In late June, he wrote that he had a "stomach flu," and three days later added that there was "no end in sight" and that he was still suffering from stomach cramps and trouble sleeping, among other things.

Although formally the absence of one of the players may create difficulties for BIG, the team has already shown that it is successfully coping with its tasks with k1to in his place.
