Professional players who spend a lot of time in CS:GO often attach special importance to the choice of skin. They don’t always choose the most expensive coloring – it could just be some unusual design option, a gift or a talisman that brings good luck. Here are some interesting stories about skins used by eSports players.
Nemanja «nexa» Isakovic from OG tells a cute but slightly sad story about the most remarkable skin from his skin collection. He received his M4A4 The Emperor as a gift from a girl who always cheers him on and comes to cheer on the team at most competitions.
But the player admits that he doesn’t use this skin very often – due to the M4A1-S's performance allowing it to gain an advantage. Among other skins that deserve special attention are nexa – AK-47 Wild Lotus and Butterfly Gamma Doppler. Automatic – this is the first truly expensive game item that he was able to buy, and the butterfly knife fell out of the case during the Riptide Operation, and since then the player considers it to bring good luck.
Alexander «s1mple» Kostylev from Natus Vincere is known for his collection of rare skins – in 2021 there were over two hundred items in his collection. He changes his AWP skins quite often. It can often be seen with AK-47 Point Disarray and M4A1-S Printstream.
Kevin «misutaaa» Rabier from Vitality names AK-47 Fire Serpent among his favorite skins. He mentions that he has become attached to him for quite a long time and is unlikely to agree to exchange him for anything. He also likes Desert Eagle Blaze and M4A4 Howl, although the current meta is such that there is rarely a reason to use the latter.
Raphael «exit» Lacerda demonstrates a great sense of style in his choice of skins: all three skins, which he calls among his favorites, follow approximately the same design principles. These are the Desert Eagle and M4A1-S Printstream, as well as the AK-47 Bloodsport, and the designs of these items can be described as clean, modern and minimalistic.
Richard “shox” Papillon, who previously played for Team Liquid, is a representative of the previous generation of players. He doesn't pay much attention to skin fashion, but his choice is still quite remarkable. The fact that he names M4A1-S Night Terror and USP-S Ticket To Hell among his favorite skins is quite consistent with his love for heavy music, and the Gamma Doppler Phase butterfly knife 1 is a great addition to this collection.
