Kingfisher to become Renegades coach

The Renegades esports organization announced that David “Kingfisher” will become the head coach of its CS:GO roster. Kingsford. The team was forced to go without a coach for more than six months after Torbjörn "mithR" left the team at the end of 2020. Nyborg moved to mousesports.

As a player, Kingfisher played for Downfall and Paradox, but since 2019 he began working as a coach. In particular, he collaborated with the Australian teams Ground Zero and Avant and made a significant contribution to the latter's successful performance at Dream Hack Open Summer and Dream Hack Masters Spring Oceania.

In a video released to mark his move to Renegades, Kingsford said he was looking forward to working with the team in Cologne and hoped the players could bring back good results from the tournament. He will soon begin organizing training sessions for the upcoming matches. His contribution to the team's preparations will be crucial for Renegades as they face tough opponents. They will play their first match at IEM Cologne Play In on July 6 against Vitality. Renegades expect to advance to the main stage of the tournament, which will take place at the end of August – early September.
