The Danish team Heroic will most likely soon begin playing for the Chinese esports organization FunPlus Phoenix. While this information has not yet received official confirmation, several esports portals have already reported on it. FunPlus Phoenix plans to participate in the upcoming FLASHPOINT event, which is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles on March 13.
It remains unclear what will happen to Heroic's place in the ESL Pro League competition – It was previously assumed that the team would compete there in the same group with Natus Vincere, Fnatic and Complexity Gaming.
Flashpoint – This is a new league that was formed relatively recently and is unique in that its partners and organizers are not third-party companies, but participating teams. Thus, FunPlus Phoenix should become the eighth in the list of participants along with MIBR, Cloud9, MAD Lions and others. Three more places on this list still remain free.
FunPlus Phoenix first showed itself in 2019, winning the League of Legends World Championship. It also includes squads for PUBG and Fortnite. Now the Chinese esports organization hopes to achieve success in CS:GO.
